Lao Cuo Bian has expanded their menu ever since they opened a couple years ago. The variety ranges from traditional bites, beef noodles, braised munchies to bubble tea. ◆Cheese, Pork Floss & Egg Wrap A combo of ingredients layered with textures of stretchy cheese and fluffy pork floss. ◆Deep-fried Snack Platter Chicken, Squid, Squid Ball, Tempura, Green Bean, Baby Corn Featured some of the most popular street food. Fried chicken was a standout which was piping hot, tender and juicy. ◆Braised Pork Ribs First deep-fried then soaked in the homemade savory sauce. Huge piece of pork cutlet that had been cut into small pieces. The marinade was rich but not too sweet. ◆Vermicelli Soup w/ Pig's Large Intestines Taiwanese comfort food especially in winter. Thick soup. They had already put vinegar in the soup which I personally prefer it without.

Located in Tai Kok Tsui, 老厝邊 is a relatively new Taiwanese restaurant. My friend and I found it really legit, not only because the interior decoration is very Taiwanese, but also the staff — the waitresses are Taiwanese and they are so polite and attentive to customers, which made the dining experience very pleasant. I ordered a traditional Taiwanese Beef Noodles for dinner. We didn’t order any snacks, as we were not quite hungry. The beef noodles are definitely lit! The broth was so flavored and delicious, and we could sip it with the noodles without feeling thirsty. The beef pieces were quite large, and they were so tender that we felt like they were melting in our mouths! The noodles were very delicious too! Everything in the bowl was soaked with the delicious broth, which made them very tasty and enjoyable.

Something you should not miss if you are around Tai Kok Tsui area! The restaurant is nicely decorated. Feels like you were having hawker food on Taiwan. Price was reasonable. Only Chinese menu is available.

Decent beef noodles soup. The meat was good the soup not so much. The eggs rolls were delicious.

Great Taiwanese cuisine! Especially their noodles were fab (I would want to come again)! Just small note is that, they didn’t have much hot/non-sweet drinks ~
